Water flows in the South Fork American River result from releases from hydroelectric facilities located upstream. Such water releases are not subject to the control of El Dorado County or commercial rafting companies operating under Permits from the County of El Dorado.

You’ll spend an exciting day paddling a guided raft down the thrilling whitewater of the nearby South Fork, California’s most popular whitewater run. Join us for an exciting day in the heart of California Gold Country. Many groups take advantage of these trips to share an adventure with friends. One-day trips are offered every weekend beginning in April. Transportation not provided.

Enjoy rafting or kayaking the beautiful Klamath through the wilderness of the Sis­kiyou Mountains. You will have opportuni­ties to raft and/or inflatable kayak on this wilderness river trip. This three-day excur­sion provides a mixture of exciting white­water and time to observe the abundant wildlife, including osprey, bald eagles, black bears and river otters. OA provides all rafting equipment, food and group camping gear. These trips are conducted under a permit from the Klamath National Forest. Transportation not provided.

The technical and challenging whitewater of the North Fork provides you the op­portunity to tackle a stretch of advanced whitewater. All paddlers must have previ­ous paddle rafting experience. Fall in love with this awe-inspiring river canyon full of cascading waterfalls, wildflowers, and aquamarine waters. A wetsuit and pad­dling jacket are included for your comfort and safety. Join us for a wet and wild day on the Chamberlain Falls run. Transporta­tion not provided.

Cal Salmon: Class V (Experienced Paddlers Only)

The Cal Salmon combines spectacular scenery with exhilarating advanced white­water. If you are an experienced whitewa­ter paddler and are looking for some excit­ing paddling, join us for an unforgettable weekend in one of Northern California’s wildest and most remote areas. This is a class IV and V whitewater river for sea­soned paddlers. You must have previous paddle rafting experience. OA provides you with experienced class V guides, the finest self-bailing rafts, hearty food, group camping equipment, and a wetsuit and paddling jacket. These trips are conducted under a permit from the Klamath National Forest. Transportation not provided.
